Unfortunately, there really isn’t a great way to determine when withdrawals occur, or, just as annoying, why players withdraw. The only way I’ve ever been able to figure it out is simply by looking at the official field on pagatour.com on Monday morning (or the previous Friday, when the field becomes official around 5:00 p.m. EST), then check back again the next day, and again the next. This is essentially what the people at Rotoworld/Rotowire/Fanball are doing when they report the news about withdrawals. The only way you can really be sure is to check the field one last time Wednesday night (before you set your lineup for Thursday), and hope nothing happens between then and your players’ tee times on Thursday. I wish there was a better way, but as far as I know there isn’t.

Christian: Good show...my query: How can I get the tournament withdrawals before they appear at Rotoworld/Rotowire. Sometimes these sites are late and sometimes wrong, sometimes ommitting names, etc.

Respond via e-mail

Thanx.....Ed
